Maintenance: The Boxer has a fine short coat that is easy to maintain however they have a tendency to shed.
Health Issues: Heart conditions and higher risk of bloat (turning stomach) and cancer.
Temperament: The Boxer is a highly energetic, intelligent and playful breed. They are good companions and guard dogs. They get along great with children. Although active and strong they are not an aggressive breed and can be quite patient with puppies or smaller dogs.
Interesting fact: Some believe that the name “Boxer” comes from the way that the breed stands on its hind legs and ‘boxes’ during play.
