Healthy eating and daily exercise is not only vital for humans but for pets as well. Obesity in your pets can creep up quicker than you would think and should be prevented at all costs. Dr Becker from the Association of Pet Obesity Prevention gives some insightful tips in this video.
According to Dr Becker, optimising your pet’s health is the most important thing you can do for them. He suggests only feeding your animals a specific, measured amount each and every day and avoiding feeding them outside of their regular eating time – a quick nibble of meat under the dinner table could be doing more damage than you think. If your pet is already obese, Dr Becker recommends splitting their feeding portions so that they are eating the same amount but through four small meals in one day.
